Directory Terms
Plain-language rules for the SignRoster notary directory.
Independent notaries
Listed notaries are independent. SignRoster and Aligned Career Training do not employ them, supervise their work, or guarantee their services. Clients hire notaries directly.
Documents and badges
Every listing requires proof of an active notary commission. Mobile Notary and Loan Signing Agent badges require proof of training. Documents must be reviewed before badges appear, or ACT training completion must be confirmed through LearnDash. Badges reflect the documents reviewed at the time of approval, not a guarantee of future work.
Your responsibilities
Keep your commission, insurance, and listing information current and accurate. Follow your state’s notary laws, including rules on advertising. An expired commission hides the entire listing. Renewed commission proof must be reviewed again.
Directory management
SignRoster and ACT may verify, edit, hide, or remove any listing or badge. Optional insurance, screening, and other credentials are Self-reported unless an administrator verifies them. Background checks are not performed by the directory.
Courses are optional
Listing as a Notary Public never requires buying a course. Course recommendations are optional. Training certificates from other providers are accepted for review. Verification and all service badges are free, including for Basic listings.
Directory Pro
Pro is $39 per year and renews automatically each year until you cancel. Automatic renewal consent is required before payment. Cancel anytime from your dashboard. Pro remains active through the paid year; then the listing returns to Basic and is not deleted. Pro changes placement and profile size, not badge eligibility. Subscriptions are not currently available.
Public information and messages
Public profiles show your chosen profile name, optional business name, city and state, service ZIP codes, languages, availability, bio, and approved badges. Pro profiles may show a photo. No street or home addresses, email addresses, or uploaded proof files are public. Proof documents are restricted to the uploading notary and authorized reviewers. Contact messages will be emailed privately to the notary when email delivery is enabled; contact forms are not currently available.
A SignRoster privacy policy must be supplied before registration and contact messages open.
